THE DETAILS
Made for the smallest pieces — the ones that finish the outfit.
Soft cotton hats, mittens, and booties in matching colourways — the pieces that complete a newborn outfit, finish a coming-home set, or make a baby shower gift feel considered rather than thrown together.
Made for new skin
Soft ribbed cotton with stretch sits gently against newborn skin without leaving lines around the ears, wrists, or ankles. The mittens stop the face-scratching moment newborns are prone to in the first weeks; the booties keep little feet warm in the pram without restricting movement.
Pick your fabric
Ribbed organic cotton for the main range — same stretchy fabric as our ribbed sleepsuits, so everything coordinates. Bamboo for a silkier feel from the first wear. Honeycomb mesh for warmer rooms. Knitted cotton for heirloom-feel cold-weather pieces. French terry for the mid-weight sets.
Builds a matching set
The ribbed hats, mittens, and booties are made in the same colourways as our ribbed sleepsuits and bodysuits. Pick a colour like clay, charcoal, oatmeal, or rust and you can build a full newborn outfit in matching pieces — useful for gift sets, coming-home outfits, and photos that don't need styling.

Questions parents ask
Honest answers, written by us. The same things we'd tell a friend.
Most of our hats, mittens, and booties are sized newborn through 6 months — the period when babies most need them. Some larger sets go to 12 or 18 months. Newborn for the first few weeks, 0–3m for the first three months, 3–6m once your baby starts filling out. If you're between sizes, size up — babies grow into them faster than you'd expect.
Newborn nails grow surprisingly fast, and babies wave their hands at their faces from the first week. Without something covering their hands, they'll catch their own cheeks and forehead with their nails — the small scratches you might recognise from newborn photos. Cotton mittens cover the hands gently without restricting movement, and the flip cover on our adjustable mittens lets you uncover the fingers when your baby wants to grip.
Current UK safer-sleep guidance from The Lullaby Trust is that hats shouldn't be worn for sleep indoors — babies regulate temperature through their heads, and overheating is a risk. Hats are for awake time, outings, the first hours after birth in hospital, and pram walks. They come off for naps and overnight sleep.
No — these are soft pull-on booties without rigid soles, designed for warmth and comfort rather than walking. Best used before your baby starts walking, or indoors and in the pram after that. Pre-walkers shouldn't be in shoes with hard soles anyway — soft booties are what paediatricians actually recommend for the first year.
The ribbed range across hats, mittens, booties, sleepsuits, and bodysuits is made in matching colourways from the same fabric stock. Clay matches clay across the range; charcoal matches charcoal. If you're building a coordinated newborn outfit or shopping for a baby shower gift, look for the same colour name across categories.
